remember me

As a good friend’s bumper sticker once said, “Freedom is not free.” This video was a moving reminder, not only of our troops, but of the many other relationships impacted by their service for our country. This American would like to say thank you in the midst of a normal everyday day. You are not forgotten.

  1. This moved me. I realize at times that, although my brother is offering the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, I rarely tell him how proud I am of him. He is putting his life on the line daily to defend our country and our freedom, and I don’t take the time to write to him and tell him how much I miss him, and can’t wait to see him again. He is defending the country he loves, the people he loves, and I don’t take a minute out of my day to tell him how much I love him.

It’s too easy to go on in our daily lives, worrying about our small personal problems, complaining about how difficult life can be at times… forgetting about the many men and women who worry daily about whether they will see their family again, whether they will have proper food and shelter, whether they will live to see another day, all so we don’t have to worry about the same things.

I want to send out a great big thank you hug not only to my brother, but to all the men and women who daily fight for the freedoms we so easily take for granted. May every American come to understand how much they are sacrificing.

Also, a prayer of protection over the troops and the country they are defending.

Now I need to call my brother…

  2. Thank you for sharing this video. It reminded me of much I had forgotten. Including a very good friend and big brother in Christ who is in Japan with the Army right now. And the thousands who give up being with family and friends to serve.
