Don’t Read This Post!

(Reprinted from Kidology Home Page Update for archiving) Don’t Read Any Further! Because if you do, you will discover the best deal on Kidology.org in years! We are facing a significant need that just might present YOU with a significant opportunity! These are tough times. Your family feels it. Your church feels it. And so does Kidology. Did you know that we give away free memberships every month to missionaries, students, small churches and honestly anyone who expresses an inability to pay our membership fee? Not a very wise business practise, huh? But then, we aren’t a business; we are a ministry supported by generous donors we call Kidology Champions. This year we have seen a sharp decline in donors and an increase in scholarship requests. SO WE GOT AN IDEA! In order to start this fall on target with our annual budget, finish our site launch and begin the next phase of enhancements we have planned, we need 150 more Champion Donors in 2009. That’s 150 more generous people who are willing to donate 99 dollars to host Kidology.org for a day. AND WE’RE GONNA MAKE IT A SWEET DEAL! Limited only to the next 150 Kidology Champions – …

Leadership Training On Your Schedule

Leadership Training has never been so easy, so affordable, and so FUN! I have been honored to be invited to speak on children’s ministry leadership at conferences all over America (and overseas). I’ve written on it in books and magazines, and been a personal coach for pastors, a consultant for ministry leaders and on factulty teaching at the under graduate level and as a guest instructor at the graduate level, but it has always been a concern of mine that most leaders can not travel to conferences or attend school, but need training! That is why I created Kidology Online Training! Now you can get QUALITY TRAINING right at your computer! The Kidology Online Training videos are FREE FOR PREMIUM MEMBERS who also get a discount on the downloadable training materials that go with each course. Each of the Download Kits are PACKED with bonus content in addition to the training PDF. Start learning today with First Things First, or choose whether you are wanting to develop your Ministry Vision, or get your foundation solid. Your Turn to Chime In!

Welcome to the 3rd Kidology Home Page Update!  This week, I’d like to encourage you to check out the brand new Kidology Surveys. This is YOUR PLACE to voice your opinion as well as see what others are thinking on various topics in children’s ministry. We’d love for leaders to weigh in the Children’s Ministry Leader Survey, or if you are a volunteer, drop into the CM Volunteer/Worker’s Survey.  I would especially appreciate your feedback on Kidology.org in the How I Use Kidology.org survey, and you’ll notice the results can only be seen by our staff, so you can feel free to be honest. (but be nice too!) We also plan to have some fun surveys as well, such as the current In a Pinch! survey that is just about your favorite “last minute” teaching technique. So just over to SURVEYS now and add your input. AND, if you have a suggestion for a survey, let me know! If you missed the past updates, you can check them out on the Archive, or visit either directly: You Make Our Day All New Kidology.org Launches

You Make Our Day

When I read the testimonial to the right recently, it made my day! Just imaging a bunch of kids in South Africa having a “water war” because of a post I wrote nearly ten years ago brought a huge smile to my face. That’s what I love about Kidology, not just getting great e-mails about how the site has impacted our members leadership, ministries or children, but because it enables the reach of even the simplest idea to be multiplied and magnified beyond what you can even imagine. I probably spend more time on the Testimonial Page than most. Whenever I get overwhelmed by the things to do, the emails to answer, the projects to work on or the deadlines that keep getting pushed back, all I need is a few minutes being reminded that not only is what I do today making a difference, but what I did years ago is still making a difference today. And it’s not just me, it’s YOU TOO! When you take time to SUBMIT AN IDEA to Kidology.org, you are not only helping Leon in South Africa and Barb in Japan, but Katie in Alaska, Joanne in Brazil, and Chikondi in Malawi! Not to mention …

These weekly updates will appear both here on my blog under the Kidology Update category as well as on the home page of Kidology.org. This way, they are archived here on my blog in addition to providing a way to comment on them. I am excited to be able to have some space on Kidology’s home page to provide a “personal touch” from me – something folks have asked for as Kidology has grown. Just wanted to explain the Kidology Update to my blog readers. Now on to the first Kidology Update: We are excited to finally launch our brand new Kidology.org website! In addition to an exciting new look, we have made the home page more powerful than ever before! You can now see quickly what is new in our idea-packed Zones, in the Forum, Job Center, Resource Directory, Garage Sale, Store, and more! Whereas in the past you needed to scroll down the entire homepage to see all the news items, they now are available at the top …
