Hey!!
I love kids and share your enthusiasm! I have blog but not about kids. It's humor-ish (not to say your blog isn't funny), family friendly material. Don't let the title fool you, it's a play on words. I was going to ask if I would be able to use a picture I saw on your blog! It was funny and I like funny!

Hi Karl
I love your website & all the resources you offer! I serve as coordinator of children's ministry for the West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church & have a passion for bringing kids to know Christ. On Sundays you can find me in 'The Pit' trying to teach a bunch of lively 4th & 5th graders. I think I will find your website useful!

Karl,
Just wanted to drop you a note to say how much I LOVE the DiscipleTown curriculum. We just began a new ministry here in Florida and chose "How to Use My Bible" as our first series. The content is great, the activities are engaging, and two of the best parts are the Table Talker & Parent Email. Great Job on the whole package!
Looking Up,
Keith

I am a Children's Ministry Director and have been on staff for 7 years. I have been following you for about 4 years through emails and kidology which I love and use a lot to get ideas to supplement my lessons. I don't facebook, I don't blog, I am not very tech savvy. But I have started with twitter and I enjoy following several other Children's pastors, pastors, and authors. I don't twitter much because I don't have to many followers to read them and I choose who will read them. I have been married to the same wonderful guy for 30 some years we have three adult children and our forth grandchild is on the way! Kids are great!

My name is Erica and I am a student. I met you at the magic show you did at my church in November of 2010. I was working as a prayer counselor that night.
I have been playing the guitar for two years and God has given me a talent for it. I play in the band at church and at school. I also write my own music.
I have been a true Christian for about two years now. And have been trying my best to live my life for Him.
I love working with kids and want to do something, on the side, with them when I graduate college.
I am currently studying to go into mechanics or something of the sort. I like working with my hands :)
Well, that's me.

Hi Karl,
I am Barbara from Yucaipa CA and have been working in our church for many years, 12 years on paid staff as the children's director. Tonight I have the sad task of telling two boys they may not come back to wednesday night program for two weeks. (They are violent) They may come back but if they hurt someone again, the length of time they must not come will be extended. Today I listened to the CPC message on making dicipline problems disappear hoping it might help me. I did not find an answer there for these two boys, but I was reassured because I have been 'molding instead of scolding' for 6 years and although there was change for a while, as they age, they are succumbing to their environment. They come from tough backgrounds in a tough neighborhood and I only influence them for 1.5 hrs a week while their neighborhood gets them the rest of the time. I believe seeds have been planted in their lives that the Holy Spirit will bring to fruition in His timeing. I was hoping you might be willing to send me the printed notes that would go along with the disipline teaching because I would like to use it with my workers for training. The philosophy that I have followed is clearly defined by you in that teaching and will help the workers. I think the notes would help them to stay on track while you are speaking since listening to a mp3 play is a little tedious. If you still have the notes on your computer and would be willing to send them, it would be greatly appreciated. In His Hands, Barbara blookerse@fbcy.org

Hi, Karl! I'm Debbie Rowley and I've been ministering to kids for 38 years. I am the Lower Elementary Coordinator (FT) at Calvary Church in Santa Ana, CA. I still love it! And I pray that God will allow me to continue for many more years. I loved your blog about tennis balls and shared it with all the leaders in my ministry. I remember those Sunday School teachers who made me feel like their favorite! I was pleased to be included in the latest issue of Children's Ministry Magazine, although I am not one of the 20 most influential people in children's. I was one of those blessed with $1,000. Mine was to hire an interpreter for Amber, a deaf girl in our ministry!

Blessings,
Debbie

Hi, Karl! My name is Heather Alt and I am a FT children's minister at a church in the Dayton, Ohio area. I've been in children's ministry for three years and before that I was in youth ministry for about two years. My blog, even though I don't write in it very often, is purplelily7.blogspot.com. I met you a couple years ago at the Kidology U conference in Chicago, but I think I left a strange impression on you because I started to laugh at your joke before you were done telling it. :) Oh, well! It happens! As a result of a series of recent events I'm currently seeking how God might want to revamp how I minister to children. I appreciate what you do on kidology.org to provide helpful resources and ideas to us children's ministers! Thanks!

Hi Karl.

Just a quick note of appreciation. We have completed the first module of Discipletown - How to Worship God - and have started the second module - How to Use Your Bible. These are changing the kids lives and my leaders as well. Just wanted to say thank-you for all the great work you do and for the vision you have to change kids lives all around the world. We are from Melbourne, Australia and you are having a great impact here on the other side of the world.

God Bless and thank-you.

Hey Karl!

My pastor introduced me to this site and blog just today. I'm the acting children's pastor at PowerHouse Christian Center in San Marcos, TX. I say "acting" because we don't have a steady stream of kiddos yet (we're a fairly new church), but when they show up, I jump in and "act" as children's pastor. I absolutely love it! But I have no training and very little experience. I've used Willy George's curriculum in the past, but didn't stretch myself beyond that except for my creation of and performance as a ministry character: Dr. Sly Smilee, glad scientist.

I haven't had much time to check out kidology.org or your blog yet, but I have a feeling both will become friends of mine very soon. I hope you will too!

God bless,
Sean

Just a quick note of thanks for the incredible resource your Kidology site and blog have been to me as I've grown into my role as a Children's pastor. I'm now nearing 5 years in ministry, something I had never planned to be, but God sometimes knows better. In the beginning, I was really insecure about embracing my new found role and ministry. When I discovered your site, it was inspirational. I have ordered and used many downloads, power points, videos and am a current user of Discipletown curriculum. You really do value kids in their world as do I, and it is nice to learn from someone as opposed to just feeling like I'm a ministry marketing statistic. Much thanks and blessings on you and your team from way up here in Canada, (near Vancouver, you may have heard of it?)

Hi, Karl,
Wonderful site that you have.
I am a school teacher and I don't have a lot of time to read blogs, but I will make time for yours for the inspirational value I can get from you to pass on to my children. This is how far truth reaches! Thank-you!
Also, I want to buy cups like the ones you have, colorful like that. Where can i get them where they are not expensive.
Thanks!

Hi Karl,

We met at a Kidology conference near Chicago a few years ago when I was a Family Pastor. This past fall, God called me out of pastoring to focus on speaking and writing. It's been quite an adventure with lots of changes. One change is that I now host a radio show for kids called "Nite Lite." It's designed to help elementary-middle school kids settle down for the night with stories, music and a devotional. I have finally been successful in getting it online, and am trying to get the word out to as many children's pastors and families as I can. It's a fun show to host, and a fun show to listen to. Would you listen to a show sometime and give me some advice about how to let people know about it? You will find five shows on the "Nite Lite" tab at www.bighungryplanet.com.

Another change is that I know God has called me to speak to a larger audience of kids and families. I love to use creative means to draw kids to God and am looking for opportunities to do so. There is a short video of me teaching at a camp last summer on my website as well under the "Speaking" tab. I don't want to ask you to recommend me to churches because you don't know me, but I'd like to talk with you about it so you can get to know me.

A third (and I'll stop typing after this, I promise) change is that I am moving into the dream God planted in my heart ten years ago to write a novel series that will take kids/families through the Bible. I just finished the first book; it is now in the critique phase. I'm hoping to publish this fall. Ok, I'll stop typing now. Hope you're having a great day!

Hi Karl!
My name is Carolyn Wolbrink; and, I have been the Children's Ministry Coordinator at First Reformed Church in Mitchell, SD since August of 2007. Before taking on this position, I have been a SS teacher and school teacher for many years as well as coordinating many Vacation Bible Schools. I too am grateful for people like you who offer much needed resources for those of us who choose to minister to children and families!
I'm currently looking for a VBS curriculum that is not a lot of "fluff" but gets back to the basics of the BIBLE. We absolutely loved the curriculum "Backstage with the BIBLE" with the Go Fish Guys last summer; and, I am struggling to find something that will top it! Thanks!
I tweet as @WithJoy and just started a blog on http://sharingmyheart.wordpress.com.
Blessings in Christ Alone!

Hi there! Glad to have met you on twitter (http://www.twitter.com/kkcoolj)! As a veteran of the internet marketing industry (one of those guys that does SEO, PPC, CPA, performance-based marketing, social media, and all the other buzz words of the Google age), I've recently been focusing on helping pastors and ministry leaders use the web to extend their reach in sharing the Good News. You'll find me sharing tips in plain English for churches and ministries to take advantage of over at www.Godvertiser.com.

Love what you're doing in the kids ministry arena. Looks fantastic.
