What’s Your Puppet Team’s Name?

I visited I-Fest last week for a couple of days and had a lot of fun. (so did my car) I already posted my first impressions, so today I wanted to post some of the pictures of the different puppet teams, as well as a flash video of one of the interviews I did while I was there!

It was so cool to see these groups of young people having a great time at an event that is training them for ministry!

And how can you miss this group?

Even in a classroom they stand out!

Here is the back of their shirts with their name.

So many of them had a biblical source for their name too.

I’ve heard of teams called “Uplifted Hands” and saw one that said “Talk to the Hand”

These shirts aren’t from a team, they were for sale, and I was going to buy one and forgot! DOH!

What would name a puppet team? Does your team have a name? Leave a comment here, or if you are a Kidology member, comment in the discussion there!

Here is the puppet I bought interviewing a seven week old baby! ENJOY!

  5. We had chosen the name 4 years ago “Talk to the Hand” and a complaint came from a women that it was not a nice saying so we canceled our shirts and went with Puppet Tales Ministery but it never caught on and we are now looking at doing new shirts and a new name. We are Calvery community church from Manteca Ca. and have been together for 5 years.

  6. We just stated our puppet team in January. We’ve just been calling ourselves the _PC Puppet team or puppet ministry. But, just yesterday we we’re discussing the fact that we need a better name. I went on line and found your post. I have posted a few times about our puppets. We have a performance tonight. I would love to be in on any puppet connections you have. Thanks My blog is juliassewsweetandspecial.blogspot.com

julia r’s last blog post..# Two’s done, too!

  7. I am starting a puppet ministry with a church, and I have been seeking GOD’S word on a name. So far HE has given me (things related with sheep), I’m thinking GOD’S flock, but not really sure. May I ask for some other to give me some names that might be uplifting. This is a same group, but GOD started with only 12 when he went out.

  8. To anyone looking for an interesting name for a puppet ministry troupe, one that I was in years ago was the Hallelujah Hand Band. Just a thought for anyone seeking a bit of an unusual name for a new team, or a new name for an existing team.

  9. Ours is called PIT Crew. It’s a multi-faceted group. We do puppets, drama, children’s church, vbs songs etc. PIT Stands for Persevering In Truth.

P.S. I can’t believe I missed this post from now almost 10 years ago. Maybe you should go back and find that girl and see how she’s doing now. ;) I bet her puppet skills have improved.

  10. YES! I would be fun to find that little baby some 10 years later! I hope she is doing puppets!
