INFO FOR PARENTS!

Hey Mom and Dad!

You probably think cup stacking is nuts!  And you're probably right!  But kids sure enjoy it and it is a great way to get the TV and video games off for awhile!  Below are some of the most often asked questions by parents and links where you can find the answers you are looking for.

BUT let me encourage YOU to become a stacker!  It isn't every day you find something that you can do with your kids, that both you and they will enjoy!  Now at first, they will be faster than you, (less rusty) but as you improve, give yourself a handicap.  The handicaps I offer kids (I let them chose it for me) are: go twice, go one handed, go eyes closed, or go with minis.  Try your best, but let them enjoy beating you - it's one of the few things they can do better than you!  You may start out doing it for them, but the chances are, you'll find that you really enjoy it too!

Do you need to buy cups for your kids?  This is answered in more detail in the "about" page, but the short answer is 'no' - we provide cups for playing.  However, kids will want to have a set for playing during the week.  They are on sale at speed stack events, or find more options on the BUY page.

A MOM QUOTE AFTER THE FIRST CLINIC:
OK.  So now what?  She hasn't stopped stacking since we got home.  This web site is great. I have to tell you, you just gave her a huge boost of confidence! She is having a blast. She cleared her cups off the table just long enough for me to serve her dinner. Then she took her mini cups to the T-ball game and was teaching a neighbor friend how to do it. Now she's over in the kitchen trying to teach Mike (her dad). OK. Mike just timed her through the cycle: 41 seconds. Update: she did it again: 38 seconds. She says she is out to beat (another stacker's name)! :) Will it ever end??  :) It's past bedtime and she and Mike are still going at it. OH: 37.86 on the cycle now!  - Elizabeth's Mom
