SPEED STACKS LESSONS!
YES! There
are lessons in life that Speed Stacks can teach you! Pastor Karl has
used Speed Stacks to teach at camp as well as at an adult leadership and
communication conference.
These are just a few of the lesson ideas that Pastor Karl
has used. They are here only in outline form to give you some ideas
of how Speed Stacks can be used as a teaching tool!

About "Super Stackin"
What if you had to ‘speed stack’ your way into heaven? How fast
would you have to be? You can
always be a little bit faster!
Only the fastest would get to go – but is even the fastest in the
world really the fastest? What if someone beat her?
What if JESUS speed stacked? What
would His score be? PERFECT! ZERO seconds! Well, I've got Good
News for you! He DID live a
perfect life and no one can be stacked up next to Him!
He made the way, and He can let us in!
Scripture: Matthew 5:48: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
STACKIN' BLIND
Invite four kids on stage to try and
race to Speed Stack blind-folded and discover how difficult it is!
Talks
about that how life is when we don’t listen to and obey God, we end up
struggling through life and messing up at things that would be so simply
if we would do them God’s way.
Scripture:
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk
in darkness, but will have the light of life."
SINCERELY
WRONG
Karl
shows and tells how he used to Stack, before he got a rule book and
learned the rules of the WCSA.
He thought he was good, he even taught others how to stack, but not
only was he doing it wrong, he was teaching others to do it wrong.
If he had ever showed up at a tournament, he would not only have
lost, he would have been disqualified!
In the same way, a lot of people think they know how to go to
heave, and they can even live impressive lives, but they are wrong.
Not only are they wrong, but they teach others wrong things.
When they die and stand before God, it won’t matter how much they
think they were right, they will not get into heaven.
Being sincere is great, but it is not enough. You can be sincerely
wrong!
JUST
DO IT!
You can’t learn Speed Stacks by talking about it – you have to just
jump in and start stacking and the more you stack, the better and
faster you will become. Like
anything, it takes practice. Prayer
is the same thing. A lot of
people TALK about prayer more than they actually PRAY!
Don’t worry about how to pray or what to pray, just start
praying. There are some tips you can learn to stack good, but in the
end you have to just start stacking.
In the same way, I will teach you some prayer techniques this
morning, but if you want to become an effective prayer you gotta
just pray!

IT ON!
Speed Stack Relay – have five boys and five
girls compete on stage in a 3-6-3 replay race!
Award the winning team. Ask
what would have happened if one of the team members had decided not
to run, or not to stack, or to sit down?
The others would not have gotten to play, and would have lost.
We are in a race against time – Jesus is going to return!
We need to pass the word along so as many as possible can learn
about Him and be winners in life!

CUPS!
Similar
to the Wordless Books - set up the following cups in stacks of 6, and as
you talk about each, move down the line up-stacking. As you review
them, down-stack them.
GOLD
- Heaven is a wonderful place and God wants everyone to go there.
BLACK - Without Jesus, we are in spiritual darkness
YELLOW - the Son (sun) of God was sent to save us
PURPLE - Jesus left his throne in heaven to become a man.
RED - Jesus died for us, and sled his blood, taking our place.
SILVER - The refiners fire - good works will burn away, only faith will
last
BRONZE - Boys - can accept Jesus (metal - not how strong you are)
PINK - Girls - can accept Jesus (not how pretty you are)
WHITE - We can be clean and forgiven by putting our faith in Jesus.
GREEN - We need to grow as Christian, read the Bible, pray, and go to
church.
TEAL - Keep growing 'unTEAL' (until) Jesus returns.
ORANGE - "Orange you glad Jesus loves you?"
(a
few of these are corny on purpose, you can drop them, or use them for
laughs.)
A FIRM FOUNDATION
Build a GIANT pyramid of cups, ask what factor determines
the height of the pyramid? (the size of the base)
Parents need to invest in the spiritual foundation of their kids
lives, for the bigger and better their spiritual foundation, the bigger
and stronger they can grow spiritually – the ‘closer’ to God they
can get. Put one hand on
bottom center cup – what happens if kids miss JUST ONE important
spiritual truth, what if JUST ONE lesson is not taught well… pull the
cup out, the tower collapses, this could be their life – unless we work
hard to build a spiritual foundation that can last them a life time! That’s why this camp is here, we did our best this week,
but now we give them back to you. Do
your best – it does make a difference!
