My Plans vs God’s Plans

A super cool Magic Trick / Object Lesson that illustrates why sometimes God says no to our plans. He has a bigger plan! THE EFFECT: You show a piece of paper that says MY PLAN on it and describe how sometimes you go to God with YOUR PLAN and God rejects it! You then RIP UP THE PAPER in front of the kids. But as you talk about how sometimes God rejects our plan because He has a bigger better plan, you slowly unfold the ripped up paper to reveal a completely restored LARGER paper with no tears any more that says GOD’S PLAN! Now Pastor Karl brings his stories to them in his new podcast created just for kids! Pastor Karl loves to tell stories. Sometimes they are a story from the Bible. Sometimes they are a parable that teaches something from the Bible. Often he shares a true story from his own life or tells a story he heard and wants to pass along. He might even invite some of his silly friends on to the show to tell one of their stories. You never know what kind of story it will be, but you can know it will be wholesome, fun, and educational. I’ve created another FUN Social Distance Game that helps kids understand the importance of obeying God and the secret to remembering all his laws. It’s called, What’s Missing?   Download all the instructions at Kidology.org/whatsmissing The Point: Sometimes it can get hard to remember of all God’s Laws and Commands and we can start to think we can’t remember them all and there is no way we can obey them all, but there is a secret. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself, and you’ll probably end up obeying all the other commands too!
