Time to Procrastinate

I feel badly for Procrastination. If words had feelings, I fear Procrastination would have a very low self-esteem. It gets blamed for everything. Most people people consider Procrastination as a bad thing. It’s a word that often induces guilt and prompts excuses. Others wear it as a badge of honor, but only as a result of feeling like they can’t keep up. But what if Procrastination was actually a good thing? What if Procrastination actually meant if you were making wise choices about what is worth doing now, and what would be better to do later or never? One of the realities you learn in life, is that you will always more to do than time to do it. Life about learning to make choices.  Perhaps, as you head into the New Year, instead of making a list of all the things you’d like to do, perhaps this year you should make a list of all the things you will not do in 2018.  What are your time wasters? What do you need to stop feeling guilty about? What are you trying to do that nobody is even asking you to do? What would your spouse or kids or boss…

Kidology.org ON THE GO!

It’s FINALLY here! Kidology.org is now mobile-friendly! You’ve been asking – and we’ve been working hard for over a year! Kidology.org is now MOBILE FRIENDLY! CHECK IT OUT! PLUS! We’ve streamlined things to make your experience better and added some new features! What’s Changed? When Kidology.org pioneered the Internet in 1994, it was one of the only places to get creative help for kids ministry online. There was no YouTube, eBay, Yahoo or even Google! Kidology.org was THE place to get kidmin help! When we launched our fourth version of Kidology in 2001, smartphones were still over five years away and our site was 100% custom code. Having a massive custom site has been why it has been a long and costly process to update to this mobile era! Back then, forums were state-of-the-art and no other website offered member content, e-commerce, forums, conferences, a job center, resource directory, and so much more. We CELEBRATE that now there are MANY amazing ministries and website that have joined us in Equipping and Encouraging those who minister to children. Yet, Kidology.org remains the largest children’s ministry website, with the most content, training, products, and resources with the lowest membership fee, and we are…

Securing the Perfect Performer for Your Church Event

GUEST BLOGGER: Josh Denhart, from The Amazing Chemistry Show Most churches with Children’s Ministries will sooner or later decide to hold an outreach event for those in their church and community. Most likely they will be looking to bring in someone who will not only entertain their kids, but also, hopefully, clearly present the Gospel message. What do you need to prioritize for your event? Events can draw a crowd! However, the right event can draw a crowd that would normally not attend a traditional event with bounce houses, carnival games, and popcorn.  While it’s fun to see your children bouncing on a bounce house, parents are left as spectators, not participants.  But Science bridges the gap for people of all ages. Live Science Events allow for everyone to be engaged and entertained. Science intrigues people. In addition, there is nothing quite like giant balls of fire, amazing explosions, and emanating foam! If you’re looking to engage and amaze your audience, while still clearly sharing the Gospel message, then you need to have the right combination of performance and presentation. Listen, I have been the pastor who brought in national children’s ministry performers.  I had some good results and some…

Meet Nicki Straza

Meet Nicki Staza – one of the most creative kidmins I know! We met years ago when I spoke at a conference she helped start in Canada, called the Kid Builders Conference. Since then, we’ve collaborated on a number of products. I so appreciate her devotion to children’s ministry and her sensitivity to the voice of God, that I asked her to serve on the Kidology board of directors. She also has some very unique and meaningful products on Kidology. JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY, is her “I love you more” doodle book and mini-lesson. “I Love You More” is a letter from God in the form of a printable doodle book. “My prayer is that the words will sink down deep into their hearts as they read and doodle around the words on the page, that their hearts would come alive with the revelation of how deep, how wide, and how constant God’s love is for them, personally.” – Nicki Straza, Author This is also a great evangelistic gift as the simple message connects God and his love to his son, Jesus. Your download includes the printable doodle book, a mobile e-version, the mini-lesson, and the story behind…
