What I’d Tell My Younger Self

If you could go back and give your younger self a little advice, what would you say?

In my latest podcast, I’m sharing a special presentation of my PTAC Conference keynote, “What I’d Tell My Younger Self.”

Some of the lessons are funny. A few involve marshmallows, goldfish, dogs, and ministry ideas that probably should have stayed ideas.

But the deeper lessons are the ones I really wish I had learned sooner — about pace, priorities, family, identity, burnout, and remembering that ministry is never meant to replace simply following Jesus.

After decades in ministry, there are definitely a few things I’d love to whisper into younger Karl’s ear.

Maybe some of them are things you need to hear too.

And while you listen, ask yourself:

What would you tell your younger self?
