Remember when “technology in children’s ministry” meant an overhead projector and somebody brave enough to change the transparency without dropping the entire stack?
Yeah. Things have changed.
Today’s kids are growing up in a world of tablets, gaming systems, YouTube, apps, smart devices, streaming, AI, and whatever new thing was invented during the time it took you to read this sentence.
And while kids are still kids, the world they live in is dramatically different.
That presents both a challenge and an incredible opportunity for those of us who want to reach them for Jesus.
The question isn’t whether technology belongs in a child’s world. It’s already there.
The better question is:
How can we understand and wisely use today’s technology to better connect with, engage, and reach today’s kids?
That’s what my webinar Reaching DIGITAL Kids is all about.
This isn’t a webinar about buying expensive equipment or turning your children’s ministry into an electronics store. You don’t need to be a tech geek, gamer, programmer, or know what every acronym your kids are using means.
It’s about becoming a better missionary to the generation God has called you to reach.
We’ll explore practical ideas, creative approaches, important cautions, and some fresh ways of thinking about ministry to kids growing up in a digital culture. My goal is that you’ll leave encouraged, challenged, and—with any luck—scribbling down several ideas you can actually try in your ministry.
Because while our methods may change, our mission never does.
We still want kids to know that God made them, loves them, has a plan for their lives, and sent His Son so they could know Him.
The technology is new.
The Truth is timeless.
