I’m On the Back Cover of a Bible!

O.K., It might not be Sainthood, and I may not be up there with the authors, like Peter, Paul and James… but I did get my name on the back cover of a Bible… and not just any Bible, THE ALMIGHTY BIBLE!

I’ve been a fan of The Almighty Bible since editions started to appear last year, and I was lucky enough to be sent some early review copies to check out.

The Almighty Bible is a series of graphic novels that illustrate the Bible leaving the biblical text intact at the bottom, edited only slightly for younger readers, instead of bubble captions like a standard comic Bible.

I gave them some feedback and expressed my enthusiasm and a quote has been put on the back cover the newly printed Book of Acts!

“Finally, there is a Bible for kids and preteens that engage their eyes and captures their imaginations without sacrificing the biblical text. The Almighty Bible brings the Bible to life like never before for young readers.” – me

In addition to an ever-growing collection of graphic novels for preteens and older, they have an amazing online interactive club for kids called, The Almighty Bible Club where kids can learn more about the Bible, Church history and even learn to pray for each other using an interactive Prayer Garden that tracks answered prayer requests.

You can also purchase images for use in PowerPoint presentations. The collection of books and images is constantly growing. This is a ministry resource product line you are going to want to keep an eye on! Follow on Twitter at @AlmightyBible

  1. Congrats man!!!!!!

Acts 4 – Peter & John boldly declaring that there is no salvation other that from Jesus.

  2. My favorite story is Stephen sermon and following stoning. You know you had a really bad sermon or really convicting sermon if they pick up stones and start throwing them at you.

  3. Dave T. already has won for being FIRST! But I’ll still pick another using Random.com for selection out of everyone else – so I’ll be giving away two! How’s that!?!?! :o

  4. My favorite story is Paul before Agrippa, “Soon, you will want me to become a Christian.” “I would that every man would become as I am, except for these chains.”

  5. I love Acts 2 where the Holy Spirit descends on the 120 and fills the 3000 upon their immersion.

  6. It’s got to be te conversion of Saul/Paul.

  7. Our favorite story in our homeschool is Acts Chapter 9 where Saul is converted and becomes Paul. We refer to the story often.

  8. The story of Pentecost never ceases to amaze me… what did the tongues of fire look like? What languages were the disciples all speaking? What did it feel like to have the spirit of God move through the house? The 180 degree turn from scared disciples to bold apostles is inspiring.

  9. Acts 12, when the angel came & rescued Peter from prison. You have to feel just a little sorry for those executed guards….

  10. I have two that kind of work together!

Acts 23:11 “The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Acts 25:12 “After Festus had conferred with his council, he declared: “You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!” ”

The Lord knew that the best way to spread the gospel was to use Paul in Rome. Paul kept his citizenship a secret until it could be used best to further the cause of the Gospel. Since Rome was the capital of the Roman Empire, Jesus used Paul to appeal to Caesar and take his Gospel where it would spread to the entire known world.
