I was surprised and delighted to get some texts and social media notifications today alerting me that my “Joe Stowell” story was told today during the installation service for Moody Bible Institutes new president, Rick Melson. Joseph Stowell was the president from 1987, the year before I graduated high school, until 2005.
Here is a very lucky picture I got of me as a Moody Student with Dr. Joe Stowell, Pastor Erwin Lutzer, and Warren W. Wiersbe at an event at my church shortly after graduation.
ENJOY the presentation today that was such a delight to discover:
Joe is sitting behind the speaker, directly to the right (or speaker’s left) Oct. 17th, 2026
