CPC "Pastor Karl Awards" Continued….

The “PASTOR KARL AWARDS” Continue with with Day #2 and #3…. MOST AWESOME KIDOLOGY MEMBER / FAN: Shelly, a devoted fan and super encouraging Kidology member, (aka, “The Kidologist Stalker“) brought me a DEW! NO WHERE in all of WDW can you buy anything made by Pepsi! First she saved half of her last Dew for me, which I was rationing out in table spoons, and then she drove out of WDW to get me a whole six pack! That definately makes Shelly the cooest Kidology Member ever! While she may be one of the craziest and spaztic people I know, she is also an awesome children’s pastor as I discovered when I did a Kidology To Go seminar at her church in October 2005. GO SHELLY! BEST CARTOON VERSION OF ONES SELF: If you go to Rob Biagi’s booth, this is the banner above his booth. I wanted to see how accurate the cartoon of him is… what do you think?? I can barely tell them apart! BIGGEST RIP OFF: A littel game here: This total of $18.72 in the Coranado Spring restaurant was for what: a) Three Cokes b) A rip-eye steak and Coke c) Hamburger, Fries and…

A Christmas ADVENTure!

If like Christmas music, you will enjoy Steve Tanner’s 25 Days of Christmas music! Now in it’s 5th year, this DAILY FREE MUSIC feature of Kidology’s Director of Web Operations personal website, is a fun and educational way to get some new and sometimes unusual Christmas Music! We thought we had a decent Christmas music collection with nearly 250 songs, but have learned that Steve Tanner can boast over 2000 songs and 6 non-stop days of Christmas music! If you didn’t get a chance to go downtown and see the State Street Windows, Steve has also finished his third annual STATE STREET SHOWDOWN where he photographs – evaluates – and chooses a winner each year. His reviews have actual drawn the attention of the window creators… who an unrealiable source tells me they reportedly offer bribes now to get Steve to pick their window as the best! ENJOY THE MUSIC!

kidologist.com NEW header!

If you only read my posts via e-mail, you have GOT to visit kidologist.com and check out the new header! I also wanted to let you know it was there, because you might need to refresh or clear your cache to get it to appear… but it is way cool! I LOVED what our Kidology graphic designer did for my sabbatical, (Corey at Birkey.com), so I had him keep the ‘Karl in the PK Cruiser with Darth’s cape flowing’ but had him add some of the places I am usually driving to and from. It looks really awesome! I think people will get a kick out of it! Let me know what you think in Comments! What would you have yourself drivin’ by?? I should get some advertising money from these places!

Off to Kid U Columbus!

It all started this morning, at some insane hour of the morning. I didn’t bother praying, because I’m not sure God was awake yet. (just kidding!) It was still dark when the team assembled at the church to head to O’Hare to fly to Columbus. Pictured here: Theresa, Sara, and Kelly. Getting onto the plane… Tanner (Kidology Director of Web Operations) joined us at the airport. He lives in Chicago, and has the coolest blog. How to stay awake on the plane? Dew and Tazo Chai. ‘Cept, I still fell asleep. Kelly is my preschool director/a Kidology customer support rep/ and most recently, my book editor. It gonna be a fun weekend with the team here in Columbus. Branden was supposed to be here, but it home sick with mono… (everyone who reads this, say a prayer for him – we need him back and well soon!) Despite Tanner’s fears, we arrived safely in Columbus! (Yes, I am still walking with a cane) Kim Bobb – one of the coolest children’s pastors in the world – from Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Her ministry is called Kids Matter Ministries. I visited Kim’s church on my sabbatical and the picture…

War of the King Bat!

War of the King Bat? Curious? Well, actually I am just combining the names of three movies I want to comment on. BATMAN BEGINS This movie was awesome. It is my favorite Batman movie so far. Even though I read a lot about how this movie had a lot at stake due to how bad the last one was, I liked the last one. It was corny, but I loved Arnold in it, and thought it captured the ‘comic book’ feeling of a cartoon comic with flambouyant characters and over the top action and corny one liners. I don’t think it is fair to compare the last one with Batman Begins, because the entire premise is drastically different. This Batman is a modern batman – it takes place in our world, in our day. There is a lot of screen time devoted to how Bruce Wayne learns his non-supernatural powers for fighting. It made the story believeable. Best part: When Batman actually summons bats to his aid – that gave me goosebumps. (Not a spoiler, its in the trailer) The batmobile is pretty cool too. I think I could drive one of those. Downside? Katie Holmes is cute, but felt…
