Workshops Online?

One of the things I am hopin’ to start doing soon is offering Kidology workshops online. I’ve already been invited to join the faculty of Children’s Ministry University Online, and am teaching my second course right now. (And will be teaching the “Pastoring Children” course for those who sign up before April 1st – join me!) My goal is to help provide online training 24/7 for children’s workers anywhere in the world who have access to the Internet. I’ve been kinda dabbling it in a little already. I put my Raising Rock Solid Kids classes online on my church CM website and have been encouraged to find out how many people are using those. A children’s pastor in Michigan told me today he has been converting them to MP3s to listen to on the road. (He has offered to send me the MP3s and I’ll add them to the site) You can check those out at: www.vcbkids.org/rocksolidkids I also just converted my first conference workshop to an MP3 file. PK’s Apple MacBook Pro Review – not happy

Has the MacBook Pro lived up to all the hype? Am I still as happy about it as I was when I posted my longest blog post ever? In One line: Still rather be on a Mac, but not enjoying the return of nervousness. It is no secret – I am a convert. I love all my Macs and even bought my wife one finally so she could be computer problem free / virus free / spyware free and overall have more time for the rest of life…. but am I still as happy as NOW as I was in the picture above when my MacBook Pro arrived? no. I really could have waited, and maybe I should have. Now don’t get me wrong, I am as passionate as ever about the Mac, and am still convinced that anyone who loves time, enjoys productivity, and hate viruses/spyware/virus software/ and constant problems should still switch to Mac…. and their life will drastically improve, BUT while I am still very pleased with the OS and all the integration of software on the Mac, my MacBook Pro has significant issues that make me wish I could return it and go back to my…

Life is CRAZY!

Seriously, if it wasn’t for the kids… I’d go nuts! Man, I have not had time to blog. I’ve been sick for weeks, (still recovering!) I’ve been to California to do some speaking at Christian schools about Order of the Ancient, organized and pulled off a 4-6th grade winter retreat with over 450 kids/leaders, church family event (tonight!), had family visit, all the regular church stuff plus special Sunday evening programs (Lego Nites! during the adult small groups 40 day adventure), got a new computer (MacBook Pro) and been working on a total rebuilding of our church’s website (launching soon) and am behind on a zillion other things and leaving for Kansas City CPC on Monday morning… but to prove I am alive to all those e-mailing me and thinking I must be dead if I don’t blog…. here are a few pictures from the past few weeks… I hope to do some longer posts soon. CPC "Pastor Karl Awards" Continued….

The “PASTOR KARL AWARDS” Continue with with Day #2 and #3…. MOST AWESOME KIDOLOGY MEMBER / FAN: Shelly, a devoted fan and super encouraging Kidology member, (aka, “The Kidologist Stalker“) brought me a DEW! NO WHERE in all of WDW can you buy anything made by Pepsi! First she saved half of her last Dew for me, which I was rationing out in table spoons, and then she drove out of WDW to get me a whole six pack! That definately makes Shelly the cooest Kidology Member ever! While she may be one of the craziest and spaztic people I know, she is also an awesome children’s pastor as I discovered when I did a Kidology To Go seminar at her church in October 2005. GO SHELLY! CPC Orlando – Day #1 – Introducing the "Pastor Karl Awards"

As DAY #1 of CPC Orlando comes to a close, I’d like to give out a few impromptu awards here on kidologist.com BEST CHILDREN’S PASTOR T-SHIRT: WINNER: Scott Philips Kidology member and contributor to the site. BEST PARENTS @ CPC! (?) WINNER: Rob and Kathleen Biagi ( www.robbiagi.com ) Notice the baby sleeping next to the doll in the suitcase! I hope they poked some holes in it for the flight to Orlando! MOST LIKELY TO GET ARRESTED: WINNERS: These Kidology fans showed up with a marshmellow gun and proudly showed the ticket Epcot security gave them…. for ‘having too much fun.’ COOLEST BOOTH GAME: WINNER: Nitro Kids Show!
